"Witbiers are Belgian-style ales that are made with wheat. These beers are pale, crisp, cloudy, unfiltered, and spiced. Some witbiers have a ’twang’ that comes from the wheat and lively carbonation (we’ll sample Witbiers with and without the ’twang’). Witbiers are also known as "white beers" (witbieren) due to their white cloudy color.
Witbiers are a perfect accompaniment for a Spring dinner party -- served alone or paired with peppery or tangy cheeses, salads, poultry, fish, or shellfish.
